Like most working families in Indian cities, we got tired of the same loop — tiffin services that ran out of variety, food delivery that emptied our wallets, and cooks found through neighbours that vanished after three weeks. So we built the thing we wished existed.

Before CookDoCook existed, here's what families were stuck choosing between.

Same menu on rotation. No customization for kids or elders. Sometimes the food arrives lukewarm, sometimes it doesn't arrive at all. The cook? You'll never meet them.

Finding one is a months-long ordeal. Verification is on you. They cook, but also clean, also live in, also leave suddenly. Most families don't need all that — they just need someone to cook for an hour.

That's the entire idea. We don't run a cloud kitchen. We don't deliver food. We don't buy your groceries. We do one thing — we find you a home-cook you can trust, and we keep them showing up.

The cook brings the skill. You provide the kitchen and the ingredients. We handle the verification, the scheduling, the attendance tracking, and replacements when something goes wrong. Everyone does the part they're best at.

What we operate by

Four principles we won't compromise on, even when it would make our lives easier.

Verified humans, not gig workers

Every cook on CookDoCook is ID-verified, court-records-checked, and personally interviewed. No anonymous app workers. No one we wouldn't send to our own families.

Try before you commit

You shouldn't have to gamble ₹1,500 to find out if a cook fits your family. Pay a small trial fee. Spend one day with them. Then decide.

Pay only for what you use

You only pay for the days you actually use the service — not for days you skip. And if something's not working out, refunds are easy. No forms, no runaround.

The cook comes first

We pay our cooks well, pay them on time, and back them up when things get messy. A platform that exploits its workers will eventually exploit its customers too. We're not interested in that.
